Who I am

With Georgina Williams is operated by Georgina Williams in the United Kingdom.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Georgina Williams is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and through the services provided by With Georgina Williams.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Notice or how your personal information is used, you can contact:

withgeorginawilliams@gmail.com

Information I may collect

Depending on how you interact with me and this website, I may collect information including:

  • your name and contact details;

  • information you provide through enquiry, contact or registration forms;

  • your interests and preferences relating to programmes, learning experiences or services;

  • communications between us;

  • information necessary to administer developmental partnerships, programmes or other services;

  • brief developmental notes where you work with me one-to-one;

  • transaction and purchase information where you purchase a service or programme;

  • information about how you interact with this website, including information collected through cookies and similar technologies; and

  • information you voluntarily provide when communicating or working with me.

I aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is being used.

‍ ‍

How I use your information

I may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries;

  • determine and arrange appropriate services or developmental partnerships;

  • administer and deliver services, programmes and learning experiences;

  • maintain appropriate continuity in one-to-one developmental work;

  • process and administer purchases and payments;

  • manage registrations and expressions of interest;

  • send news, updates or marketing communications where you have chosen to receive them;

  • operate, maintain and improve this website and my services;

  • maintain appropriate business and financial records; and

  • meet legal, regulatory or contractual obligations.

My lawful bases for using your information

The lawful basis I rely on will depend on why I am using your information.

This may include:

Contract — where processing is necessary to provide a service you have purchased or to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

Consent — where you have actively chosen to receive marketing communications or where consent is otherwise the appropriate basis.

Legitimate interests — where I have a reasonable business need to use information, for example to respond to enquiries, administer my business or improve my services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Legal obligation — where I am required to retain or use information to comply with the law.

The ICO requires businesses to determine their lawful basis for each processing purpose rather than treating a privacy notice as a blanket permission to use personal information.

Developmental partnership notes and sensitive information

If you work with me through a one-to-one developmental partnership, I may keep brief notes to support continuity in our work.

These are developmental working notes rather than clinical or medical records, and I aim to record only information that is relevant and necessary for our work together.

Because conversations about personal development can sometimes include information about health or wellbeing, you may voluntarily disclose information that is regarded as special category personal data under data protection law.

Where I need to process special category information, I will only do so where there is an appropriate lawful basis and additional legal condition for doing so.

Please avoid providing sensitive personal information that is not relevant to our work together.

Payments

Where services, developmental partnerships or learning programmes are purchased through this website, information required to administer your purchase will be collected.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. I do not intend to directly store full payment-card details.

The identity of the payment provider and any relevant information about how it processes personal information will be made available when online payments are introduced.

Website forms

When you submit information through a form on this website, the information you provide is used to respond to or administer your submission.

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Information submitted through website forms may therefore be processed by Squarespace as part of providing website services. Form submissions are also sent to the Gmail account used to administer With Georgina Williams.

Squarespace itself recommends explaining this processing where its form blocks are used.

Email updates and marketing

I will only send marketing emails or newsletters where I have an appropriate lawful basis to do so.

Where you have subscribed or otherwise consented to receive these communications, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option provided in the communication or by contacting me.

The email platform used to provide these communications may change as the business develops. This Privacy Notice will be updated where necessary to reflect the services being used.

Zoom, Skool and other service providers

I may use third-party platforms and service providers to operate and deliver aspects of my work, including Zoom for online meetings and Skool for online learning and community experiences.

These providers may process personal information on my behalf or in connection with the services they provide and operate under their own privacy and data-protection arrangements where applicable.

Other providers may include website hosting, email, payment, accounting and technology services.

I aim to use reputable providers and share only the information reasonably necessary for them to provide their services.

‍ ‍

International processing

Some of the technology providers I use may process or store personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, I will take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate lawful mechanism or safeguard applies.

The ICO specifically requires privacy information to address relevant transfers outside the UK and safeguards where applicable.

Session recordings

One-to-one developmental partnership sessions are not routinely recorded.

If recording were exceptionally agreed for a particular purpose, this would be discussed with you in advance and appropriate consent and arrangements for use, storage and deletion would be agreed.

How long I keep your information

I keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where information needs to be retained for legal, accounting or contractual reasons.

Different types of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or disposed of where reasonably practicable.

Keeping your information secure‍ ‍

I take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect the personal information I hold from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Access to personal information is limited to where it is reasonably required for operating and delivering my work.

Cookies and website analytics

This website may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the website to function and, where enabled, for purposes such as analytics.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, these should not be used until the appropriate consent has been obtained.

You can manage your choices through the cookie controls provided on the website.

The ICO states that website visitors should be informed about cookies and that non-essential cookies generally require agreement before they’re used.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights concerning your personal information. These can include rights to:

  • ask for access to your personal information;

  • ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;

  • ask for information to be erased in certain circumstances;

  • ask for processing to be restricted in certain circumstances;

  • object to certain uses of your information;

  • receive certain information in a portable format; and

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Not every right applies in every circumstance.

To exercise a data protection right, contact withgeorginawilliams@gmail.com.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how I have used your personal information, please contact me in the first instance so that I can try to resolve them.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.

I may update this Privacy Notice as my services, technology providers or legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on this website with the date of the latest update.
