My background spans mental health social work, teaching, coaching, facilitation and behavioural science. I also deliver Mental Health First Aid England Training.
For more than 14 years, I’ve designed and delivered transformational learning experiences that draw on my personal and professional experience of change.
Much of that work has centred on identity and transition — who we have been, who we are becoming, and how we find greater choice in the space between the two.
I’ve designed and facilitated learning around identity, change, assertiveness, communication and emotional intelligence, helping participants build self-awareness and the capacity to live, communicate and relate more intentionally.
I care particularly about what happens when insight becomes something that we can use - recognising patterns we couldn’t see before, responding differently instead of repeating something learned or inherited, and finding more truthful and authentic ways of being in relationship with ourselves and others.
Perhaps I care about that territory because I know of it personally, too.
Course creation and teaching have become something of an alchemical expression for me — turning what I have learned, lived and come to understand into something that might be useful to others.
My professional roots in mental health and trauma-informed practice also shape how I work - with respect for creating spaces where people feel safe enough to explore, question and see new possibilities.
Over time, my curiosity about change expanded beyond individuals and groups to the wider conditions that shape and influence it.
Behavioural science gave me another lens through which to explore this. Not only what do people do and why? but what are the conditions making that behaviour more or less possible?
I’ve applied that thinking to complex challenges including health inequalities, access to mental health support, and helping organisations translate values into the everyday behaviours that bring them to life.
My interest has been using behavioural and strategic thinking ethically - in service of change that benefits people and wider communities.
At the heart of this expansion was a desire to participate in work with greater reach and impact.
Change; whether individual, community or systemic, rarely exists in isolation. It ripples - into relationships, families, workplaces and communities, influencing what becomes possible for others too.
And there’s something rather hopeful about that.
